Prenatal vitamins refer to those vitamins that doctors prescribe to pregnant women to minimize the problems related to childbirth. There is no doubt that childbirth is the most awaited moment in the life of a woman. For many it is the essence of womanhood. However, there are certain risks also associated with it. It may be dangerous if you as a woman do not take proper precautions. Use of prenatal vitamins helps in reducing any such likelihood thereby letting the expecting mother enjoy these most pleasing moments in life in a better way.

Every expectant mother wishes to do whatever best she can do for her unborn child. That is why she tries to take nutritious food in as much quantity as possible. However, nausea, loss of appetite and cravings do not allow her to do according to her will. What is the solution for a pregnant woman in such circumstances? One of the finest methods is the use of prenatal vitamins. It is not only good for the expectant mother but equally beneficial for the child developing in her womb.

A pregnant woman does not only have to take care of herself but also of the growing fetus child inside her. Not A Substitute For A Healthy Diet

If someone relies completely on vitamin supplements then it will lead to deficiency of calcium. Average requirement of calcium for a pregnant woman is from 1200 to 1500 mg so you cannot replace food with vitamin supplements.

Here is a precaution for pregnant women who take or plan to take vitamins as a supplement. It is advisable to be aware of the ingredients of various vitamins and the procedure of their absorption in the body. There are a few vitamins like Vitamin A that may lead to birth defects in the fetus if taken in excessive amount. Use of less than 10,000 IU of prenatal vitamins is considered safe in this regard.

Vitamins B complex or B vitamins refer to a group of eight different vitamins that once were considered a single vitamin only. Afterwards, scientists reached the conclusion that it is not a single vitamin but a collection of different vitamins with similar kind of properties.

B Complex Refers To A Group Of Eight Vitamins
